Extreme Shortage of Temporary Housing in Toronto causing immediate Troubles for Corporations
This is an important relo-lert to our clients and anyone relocating transferees or assignees to Toronto at this time. All Points Relocation Services Canada is experiencing an extreme shortage of temporary housing options in Toronto.
All Points Relocation Canada wants to keep all clients in the know about this situation. We wish to advise that flexibility may be required depending on arrival date and location. This flexibility may apply to arrival and departure dates (requiring hotel stays for bridge periods) and also to location and size. For those with assignees already in units, it is important to be on top of any extensions that may be required.
Just to give a real life example, we spoke recently with a vendor who does not have anything more than a spare week until September. This is at one of the rare facilities that allow less than 30 day stays. So, this anecdote is given in the context that most vendors have 30 day minimums and most needs are 30 day minimums. NO ROOMS UNTIL SEPTEMBER!
All Points is doing everything it can to work within this challenge, but we wanted to send this small alert so that all corporations were aware. In the words of one of our employees, “We are checking all free standing structures.”
