Everything Is F*cked: A Book About Hope is author Mark Manson’s third book. It was published by HarperCollins in 2019 and debuted at number one on the New York Times Bestseller List for Advice, How-to, and Miscellaneous.
As Mark’s website states “Just like The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck questioned our conventional wisdom on what makes us happy, Everything Is Fcked: A Book About Hope questions our assumptions on what makes life worth living.”
This book covers a multitude of topics like hope, maturity, religion, social media, and technology. Mark shows us what’s wrong with the world in this book and what we can do to fix it, while also having his signature sort of humour. Mark breaks down thinking based on the works of philosophers Friedrich Nietzsche, Immanuel Kant and the philosophy of stoicism in an easy-to-understand, dry humour way.
This book is a thought-provoking and humorous take on life’s fundamental questions, backed by insightful philosophical insights. At just 236 pages (with another 37 pages of notes), the reader can delve into questions that define faith, happiness and freedom without it weighing too heavy on your mind or in your bag.
