The CBC has reported, early this morning that a newly constructed bridge in northern Ontario has broken and is in need of repair. This indefinitely closes the Trans-Canada highway — the only road connecting Eastern and Western Canada. We recommend that you call your movers right away for reports on any active, or soon-to-be active transferees, as costs will be going up due to the need to by-pass this area or wait until the bridge is fixed. Any detour to by-pass this bridge is at least 150 kms. In addition, the detour has to go through the United States, which will cause another challenge for moves that are already underway.
